I choked on a piece of chicken (or something) at a Vietnamese restaurant once.  I had to reach down my throat and pull it out.

So.... hard.... must.... resist.... admin..... powers.... and .... temptation..... to..... alter.... post.... to.... choking..... chicken..... joke..... :'

See, and here I was trying my hardest to word that in a way that wouldn't result in jokes.  Thanks a lot.

I apparently inherited my tendency to swallow wrong from my mom's side of the family.  So not cool.

I almost choked to death on a fish bone when I was a kid. They had to take me to the hospitol and everything.  :-X

I can imagine. My coworker's dog actually choked to death on its food a couple months ago. So tragic.

Our first cat was from a litter, but the other two were literally adopted off the streets.  One of those two, Salem, gave me a bloody nose once when I was like nine or ten.  I was bothering her too much, and I got a claw right up the nostril.  But at the same time, she was the official greeter when people came into the store.  And deceptively cute:

She lasted the longest out of the three cats we had.  She had to have been at least fifteen when she disappeared, and she was in great shape up until the end, which sadly was when I was away at my first semester of college.

I am really in love with the idea of getting another cat, but until then, I have Juno.  Who likes to roll in the snow.  In July.  During that same hike I posted pictures of earlier, actually.

Games / Re: Wii - MarioKart (Nintendo)

MarioKart has always been the only racing game I've bothered to play-- driving is just not as fun when you're not hurling ridiculous weapons at your enemies. I've been playing since the N64 version, and while I still think DoubleDash might be my favorite, the Wii version is pretty fun. I like the option of bikes, but I'm still not sure about the Wiimote controller... it's way too touchy for me to get comfortable with it. I still only play with the old GameCube controller; I feel like it's easier to handle.

My favorite part of MK Wii was the nostalgia tracks. :D I love seeing the old N64 and SNES tracks updated and playable again. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy again without having to actually deal with the old-style controllers.

The Wii game IS much harder than the others, though, mostly because they bump the AI handicap up to crazy levels. Essentially you HAVE to build up as much of a lead as possible, because on the 3rd lap you will probably get bombed, blue-shelled, and lightning'd at least three times. In a row. Right before you hit the finish. It's more than a little broken. But still a good game, I think. :3

Hehehe. Bee was an escape kitty too. When they opened the cage to get another kitten out she bolted out the door and dashed across the room. We still have to keep an eye on the door because she's dashed out of our apartment before and almost made it to the front entrance. We've also been having some issues with her jumping onto the stove to get at the food in the pots. D: She's still pretty young (only 4 1/2 months) so hopefully we can get her to understand but for right now... it's a pain.
